The Mission of Louisiana Youth Prevention Services is to create a statewide network that will provide the youth of Louisiana with the best prevention and intervention tools possible to deal with the issues of underage drinking, impaired driving, drug abuse and other destructive decisions.

LA SADD/LYP Services  strongly believes in the power of youth.  Youth are the backbone of LA SADD/LYP Services.  All of the programs and activies that are sponsored and/or promoted by LA SADD/LYP Services are youth planned, driven and implemented.

In all 50 states it is illegal for anyone under the age of 21 to purchase or consume alcohol.  LYP Services/LA SADD stands firmly behind SADD's NO USE message in regard to underage drinking and other drug use.  There is no such thing as responsible drinking!
